WOMEN’S RIGHTS
Catherine believes that women should be able to own property, have access to education, and hold public office. She believes women should participate in and benefit equally from government systems. She advocates for reforms in property succession law, and for protection for girls from being married/trafficked.
EDUCATION
Omanyo is the founder of International School for Champions, a tuition free school that houses over 300 male and female students ages 2-24. Many of the students at her school are orphaned, HIV positive, or otherwise underprivileged. She advocates for poor youths to have access to education, which can help break the poverty cycle and help illiteracy rates.
YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
Omanyo aims to create a community where youths actively participate in the decisions that affect their daily lives and future generations.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Omanyo supports initiatives to build community projects and create jobs in Busia County. Through her school, she focuses on bringing sustainable electricity and water to her neighborhood.
ELDERLY CARE
Omanyo supports care for the elderly. She goes into every village yearly to make sure each adult over 60 is the beneficiary of government pensions.
